This was the fourth and last of this season’s club competitions. The set subjects were: Colour print – “Focus Stacking”; Mono print – “Colour Monochrome”; DPI – “Shock and Awe” plus Open subjects for each of the categories.
We were pleased to have Sara Harpley as our judge, who was able to give quite informal and chatty critique as the turnout of members was quite low due to holidays and ill health. As usual, there were some interesting interpretations of the set subjects and a wide variety of open subjects. The winners were:-
Colour set – Nick Boggon for “Heart of a Tulip”
Colour open – David Faulkes for “The Triplet Ghosts of the Dromcoile”
Mono set – Leslie Pallant for “Blue With the Cold”
Mono open – Lynda Piper for “Old and New”
DPI open – Nick Boggon for “Catch a Flying Chip”
DPI set – David Faulkes for “Alien Hostage”
Following this competition, the winner of the “Photographer of the Year” trophy (for maximum points gained), and the “Mary Deneys Memorial Cup” (for highest number of DPI points) can be determined and both were achieved by Lynda Piper. Congratulations to Lynda and thanks to all who entered.
