On Wednesday, 26th March, the annual battle between Sidmouth Photographic Club and ourselves took place at Sidmouth. Prints were submitted for the regular themes of Landscape, Mono, Portrait, Nature and Creative. DPIs were entered for this year’s subjects of Help Me, Religion, Ethereal, Connected and Happiness plus for the Open section. The judge for the evening was John Tilsley.

There were many stunning images presented and the final score was 273.5 to Sidmouth and 255 to us. Thanks to John for his considered judging and useful feedback. We were delighted that one of our members, David Faulkes, obtained 3rd position overall for his open entry entitled “What’s Your Story, Islington Glory”.

Congratulations to Sidmouth on their victory and thanks to them for hosting the event and putting on a grand spread.

The club celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year and a number of events will be held to celebrate this milestone. The first of these will be a display, in Honiton Museum from 10th March, showing the club’s history from 1965 to recent times in photographs and old documents.
