Within the first half hour, members were sent out, in pairs, to take images, in the failing light, of their designated colours – red, green, white etc. Upon return, these were downloaded and collated on a laptop by Secretary, Andy. It was interesting to see the selections of images making up each colour group.
We then moved on to the contra jour element, with a few set-ups, using props, to create different types of contra jour effects. These included lighting through a corrugated cardboard surround and the creation of a mist effect, using water spray bottles, with the “model” (member!) being back-lit.
A very enjoyable evening. Thanks to our resourceful Internal Competitions member, David, for leading the event and providing props.
