The evening began with the formal Annual General Meeting, which was dealt with in a swift, straightforward manner resulting in the same committee members being confirmed in post for another year.
The subject of the President’s Cup competition was “The Performer”. Members could submit up to two prints and these were passed around to enable a closer look. Following a refreshment break, comprising strawberries, shortbread and cream, or cake (thanks to Chairman Leslie), our President, Michael, gave his verdict on each of the entries, which were all of a good standard. The resulting winner was David Faulkes for his powerful image of “Marcella Arganese Mid Solo”.
The trophies, awards and certificates achieved from competitions throughout the year were then presented to the worthy winners.
The evening was completed with a Powerpoint presentation by David Faulkes, member responsible for internal competions, on useful guidance for next year’s competition subjects.
