We were very pleased to welcome Rose Atkinson to the Club again to give her talk on The Art of Titling Images.
Rose’s illustrated presentation explored the art and strategy of titling images, emphasising how titles influence interpretation, storytelling and viewer engagement across different photographic styles. This gave us an appreciation of the importance of intentional titling to achieve this, whilst also offering practical guidance for crafting and analysing image titles across different contexts.
After the break, we convened in small groups to consider images, which members had provided, to analyse and give titles to with the benefit of advice from the presentation and input from Rose.
