In the first half of the presentation, Jane talked about the use of textures and how to obtain them – on line or by taking photos of suitable subjects, e.g. old paper, concrete, mould on walls etc. She illustrated how textures can be used to improve images, showing examples of a variety of subjects, with a particular emphasis on horses.
In the second half, Jane gave practical demonstrations of how to achieve the desired results in Photoshop. She worked through the techniques, e.g. using layers and masks, clearly indicating the processes to be followed, and sharing useful tips as she went along.
As a trained teacher, Jane delivered a clear and interesting presentation on this topic, which left members eager to try it out for themselves.
