We were pleased to welcome Ken Holland, ARPS, DPAGB, Photographer, Lecturer and Teacher, to give an illustrated talk entitled “When The Well Runs Dry”.
Ken provided a range of useful suggestions to overcome a lack of inspiration, which we all suffer from, now and again. These included: using basic camera settings rather than relying on the “P” setting; experimenting with shutter speeds and focus , together with use of telephoto and wide angle lenses, even with compact cameras; reading books on photographers; attending exhibitions; taking photographs of other hobbies or in the workplace; creating a book of photographs; working to produce the perfect print; not being afraid to break the rules; embarking on a project; working towards distinctions of the RPS or PAGB. All this was accompanied by illustrated examples.
A very enjoyable and inspirational evening.
