“The dragon in monochrome” – Margaret Salisbury – 9 April 2021

Margaret, who is a tutor for the Open University, gave a brief background to her introduction and interest in photography before showing an impressive selection of her monochrome images, which covered landscapes, animals and people taken in a wide variety of countries, from her native Wales to New Zealand, together with a number of creative images.

Margaret shared her techniques for capturing images (she doesn’t use a tripod nor use multiple shots to create a panorama image), and subsequent editing procedures. We were also introduced to some new terminology, e.g. her travelling has involved taking up skiing – as in Spending the Kids’ Inheritance!

An interesting evening delivered by a knowledgeable and experienced photographer and with a sense of humour.
